Loon-skin slippers (piniraq)

Men and women used to wear such slippers, which were made of roughout loon skin. You would put one of them on by slipping it over your stocking and then into your boot (kamiik).

Such slippers would keep your feet warm during extreme cold or on long trips. Nowadays, they're no longer used.
